The thematic group "Literature / Theatre / Fairy tales" was founded in 1975. It is open to everybody interested in one of the following motives in philately:

  1. Literature und poetry of the world
  2. The theatre including opera, operetta and ballet
  3. Fairy tales, sagas, legends, fables, myths, children's books
Our magazine PEGASUS is published three times a year and deals with stamp novelties in detailed description, with special cancellations, with slogan cancels and postal stationary. We further busy ourselves with questions concerning the choice of motives, how to build up a collection etc. and to give help to our members in questions of expositions.

Our magazine always contains a variety of issues of the motives mentioned above. Members get detailed information they will not find anywhere else. You will be surprised at the amount of reports we have already worked on in the 109 copies we have already published. Our magazine has several times been awarded a prize for its creativity, choice of issues, originality, research work and layout. We have already published various brochures on children's books, the German Fairy-tale Street, a catalogue about postal stationary concerning sagas, legends and fairy-tales and a catalogue "Fairy-tale cancels of the World" with about 1.300 cancels.

The members of our group are scattered all over Europe and the world, from Scandinavia to Italy, Spain and Israel, from North and South America to Japan. Thus communication takes place by personal letters or e- mail. Every two years we also hold our meeting to elect the president and the other members of the board, to discuss problems and to listen to proposals concerning improvements in various fields.

In our group we have a special service supplying our members with the latest special cancellations. Every now and then members offer covers, cancels, postcards at sensible prices or are looking for such items under the heading "Offering - Searching for".

At present our yearly fee is 25,- € for grown up's, 15,- € for adolescents (until 21 years of age). You will find further information on this website.
